St. Fintans GAA Roundup, Term 1 2011/2012
In what has been an extremely busy term for Doon CBS GAA, the school looks forward to Munster Senior Hurling and Football Quarter Finals in the New Year. The Senior Hurlers are also in the Limerick Colleges Final while the Footballers are in the Quarter Final. Full details of the campaigns so far this year are in the sport page.
Paul Galvin Medal Presentation @ St. Fintans
On 15th of December a large crowd attended St Fintans for the presentation of medals to the double County Under 16 Champions 2011. The hurlers claimed the Sean Jones Cup to win the under 16 A final against Castletroy College while the footballers claimed the Limerick Supporters Club Trophy (under 16 B) beating Colaiste na Trocaire Rathkeale in the final.
Guest of honour on the night, 4 time All Ireland winner, Paul Galvin presented the medals and complimented the players on a great season and wished them the best for the future. His address was very well received by the large attendance. Mr Daly and Mr Lynch gave comprehensive reviews of the under 16 campaigns and a run down on each player. A most enjoyable night was had by all. Well done to all concerned on a most successful evening.
